Kenya may be part of a trial phase for a new type of COVID19 vaccine. If approved, 40,000 participants between 18-70 years old will be recruited for Phase III of trails for a China-made coronavirus vaccine developed from insect cells.
These trials will also be carried out in China, Indonesia and Kazakhstan. Kenya will be the only African country to participate.
