Avocados are one of nature’s superfruits (yes! avocados are fruit). When an avocado is at that sweet spot where it’s bright green and creamy, it can be the perfect addition to your favorite meal or snack. But, leave it unattended for a few extra days, and it’s ruined. Or is it?
Before you throw away your next overripe avocado give these two methods a try!
Deep Condition Dry Hair
Avocados are full of fat and vitamin E, two elements that are perfect for nourishing dull hair. Follow the steps below to make a quick and easy hair conditioner that will make your hair shine.

Ingredients
1 overripe avocado
2 tablespoons of plain full fat yogurt
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of honey
Directions
Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth. After washing your hair as normal, divide hair into four parts and detangle. Going section by section, spread the avocado mixture on hair from root to tip, covering each strand. Leave for 20-30 min, then rinse out thoroughly.
Brighten Your Skin
Avocados contain vitamins E and C which are perfect nutrients for nourishing your skin. If your avocado is too ripe to eat, use it for your skin instead! Follow the directions below for glowing, healthy skin.

Ingredients
1 overripe avocado
1 tablespoon of honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions
Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth. Cleanse skin with your usual facial cleanser. After cleansing, spread the avocado mixture on your face and leave for 15 minutes. Wash mixture off of face with warm water. Then, moisturize with your favorite moisturizer and enjoy your glowing skin.
